    This Pattern is a Hart’s employee favorite, both for it’s modern style and it’s easy assembly! This level 2 class will cover some great techniques for working and sewing with knits and create the perfect year round sweater to wear alone or as a great layering piece. This is indeed a fall wardrobe staple!

    Jeans That Fit! Weekend Workshop- Level 3

    (Adult) 2 Day Weekend Workshop September 30 9am-6pm & October 1, 9am – 4pm

    Finding jeans that fit is often a challenge for many of us. This intensive workshop will focus on creating a pair of jeans that fit our uniqueness. We will begin by making a muslin pair of our jeans to test fit and make adjustments where needed before cutting our final fabric. Class will then focus on the fly zipper insertion, pockets, all construction techniques to create a great pair of jeans that you will want to wear. Students may choose any one of the following patterns: Closet Case Ginger jean or Morgan jean, or Deer and Doe Safran jean, Named Jamie Jean

    This is the basic introductory class at Harts. In this class you will learn proper use of a sewing machine, including threading, filling a bobbin, etc. Proper pinning for sewing, french seams, corners, and more.     Come join Gabriela, Owner/Designer of Chalk and Notch Patterns to sew the Fringe. The Fringe pattern is a woven dress and blouse with two views. View A has a button up front, elbow sleeve and sleeve tab. View B has a pull over, notched front with a cuff. Both views include a blouse length, optional dress pockets, optional front or back waist tie and a shaped hem. The sleeve/cuffs are interchangeable for both views. A perfect pattern for a lightweight apparel fabric with nice drape. Recommended fabrics are cotton lawn, cotton voile, rayon challis, rayon voile, linen and double gauze. Supplies: Fringe pattern (pdf pattern included in the class price), fabric (cut and ready for assembly), tricot or lightweight fusible interfacing, matching thread, 5 or 6 buttons if sewing view A, a sewing machine that sews a buttonhole and basic sewing supplies.
